KLM flies from Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport. That covers every KLM departure and arrival, including the KLM Cityhopper flights to and from Amsterdam Schiphol. If you are being dropped off or collected, tell the driver Terminal 2.

Since 5 March 2026 Manchester has had two terminals in use. The old Terminal 1 was renamed Terminal 3 and is now used by Ryanair only. Every other airline, KLM included, is in Terminal 2. If an old booking email or sat nav still mentions Terminal 1, ignore it and head for T2.

Which Terminal Is KLM at Manchester Airport?

Terminal 2. KLM and Air France moved there from Terminal 1 on 28 September 2021, a couple of months after the rebuilt T2 opened, and they have stayed there through the airport’s later changes.

Question Answer
KLM terminal at Manchester Terminal 2
Main KLM route Manchester to Amsterdam Schiphol
Other airline in T3 Ryanair only
Walk between T2 and T3 Skylink walkway, about 10 to 15 minutes

Most KLM passengers from Manchester are connecting at Schiphol onto long-haul flights, so check in for the whole journey online and bring your onward boarding pass details. For baggage allowances and check-in times, use the official KLM website. Our Manchester Terminal 2 taxi guide covers the T2 building itself.

Getting to Terminal 2 for a KLM Flight

The early KLM departures to Amsterdam leave just before 6am, so you need to be at the airport by about 4am. Trains and trams are thin at that hour, which is why most people on that flight come by car.

Our drivers go to the Terminal 2 drop-off forecourt. The airport’s drop-off charge is paid by us and is already in your fare, so there is nothing to register or pay afterwards. Sample one-way saloon fares to Manchester Airport from our live booker (9 October 2026):

  • Wilmslow: £39.49, about 13 minutes
  • Stockport: £45.38, about 18 minutes
  • Manchester city centre (Piccadilly): £50.11, about 26 minutes
  • Liverpool: £83.77, about 54 minutes
  • Leeds: £108.81, about 1 hr 11 min

For any other address, the booking form at the top of this page gives a fixed price straight away.

Landing at Manchester on KLM

Inbound KLM flights arrive into Terminal 2. Your driver tracks the flight number, so an early or late landing from Schiphol is picked up automatically. They wait inside the T2 arrivals hall with a board showing your name, and the first hour after landing is free. If your bag doesn’t make a tight Schiphol connection, call us once you know how long the baggage desk will take.

Picking the Right Car

A saloon takes up to four passengers with two large cases. Long-haul passengers connecting through Amsterdam often have more than that, so an estate (four cases) or an MPV (six passengers, four cases) is usually the safer choice for a family. Child seats are £10 each; tell us the child’s age when you book.

Business Travellers on the Amsterdam Route

A lot of KLM’s Manchester traffic is people working in the Netherlands or connecting onwards for work. We can set up an account so regular trips are booked and invoiced in one place, with the same pickup notes kept each time. Every booking comes with an emailed receipt.
