Getting a group to or from Heathrow in ordinary taxis means booking two or three cars, coordinating everyone, and hoping they all turn up at once. A minibus keeps everyone and their luggage together. Notice that the 8 seater costs the same as the MPV but carries two more passengers and twice the large cases. For six people with holiday luggage, it’s usually the better booking. Book your return with the outbound to save 5%.
Which Size Do You Need?
Luggage decides the vehicle more often than the head count. A rough guide:
- 5 to 6 people, one case each: MPV
- Up to 8 people with a large case each: 8 seater
- Up to 8 people, business or VIP: Executive Minivan
- 9 to 12 people: 12 seater minibus (request a quote)
- 13 to 16 people: 16 seater minibus (request a quote)
- More than 16: two vehicles, timed to arrive together
Golf bags, ski equipment, musical instruments and wheelchairs take extra space. Tell us about them when you book, and we’ll confirm the right vehicle before the day.
Group Arrivals at Heathrow
Meeting a group off a long-haul flight is where pre-booking pays off. Your driver tracks the flight and waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board, so the whole party knows where to go. You get an hour of free waiting from touchdown. That matters for groups, because it rarely takes one passenger as long to clear the border and collect bags as it takes ten. If the flight is delayed, we adjust.

Minibus or Train for a Group?
The Elizabeth line, Heathrow Express and Piccadilly line are good for individuals. For a group, the sums change. Eight people means eight fares, plus getting everyone and their luggage through barriers and onto the same train. From central London, an 8 seater works out at roughly £10 a head when full, door to door, and nobody gets left behind on a platform.
Child Seats and Accessibility
Child seats are available at £10 each. Tell us the children’s ages when you book. If anyone in the group uses a wheelchair, say so in advance, as space and access vary by vehicle and we’ll make sure what we send is suitable.
Long-Distance Group Transfers
We take groups well beyond London: to Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, the Cotswolds, Southampton for cruises, and other airports such as Gatwick or Stansted. Enter the route in the booker for an 8 seater price, or ask us for a larger minibus quote.
